Jenks and Bubble Butt are not fooling anyone...gotta get them to mix in some slower off-speed stuff to get the hitters thinking up there...

Is Bobby still refusing to throw his curveball?

Here is Bobby's pitch breakdown last night from Gameday:
Fastballs - 17 Sliders - 4 Curve balls - 2
And those 2 curve balls were thrown in the 1st AB by Zaun - and he struck out.
Bobby's slider ain't good enough to fool hitters and we all know his fastball is straight and hittable as well...

His fastball DOES have movement... but it doesn't explode like the old fastball... and since he cuts it most of the time, the average-at-best slider is far more hittable than it should be.

Agree.
If he could somehow come up with a 'Doug Jones-esque' change, he'd be a future HOFer...

Yeah... he did have a changeup when he first came up, but it was more of a "show me" pitch.
He was a 2-pitch pitcher before (straight, hard fastball + curveball), and he's still a 2-pitch pitcher (hard cutter + slider)

Yup - and that's why he needs a new pitch. Two-pitch pitchers with average stuff don't last...

Nope...
I think he could survive if he threw the cutter and curveball exclusively, though the deliveries for those two pitches might not be as similar as the ones for his cutter and slider.

Personally, I think that if he would drop about 10-15lbs, he would get his velocity back on his fastball. He's beginning to look like the Pillsbury Dough Boy out there. his curve ball is lights out, but his fastball is raw meat these days.

He's lost weight since he's come up... or so it appears.

(not saying he's skinny... but just saying that he was that much fatter before)

Appears to me that he has gained a sizable gut since he first came up, and that in the process, has lost about 5 MPH off of his fastball. He's best start throwing his offspeed stuff with authority, or he will toast us before the season concludes!

Two blown calls by the 1b Ump. Shit, that guy is a brutal example of why, sooner than later, they're going to have to vastly expand instant replay.

Another MAGNIFICENT outing by Gavin Floyd... wasted by the offense.

Sox' hitters are back in that "neglected wife" mode:
No O tonight.
