And I'm pretty sure there's a formula for how much karma you can give someone, too. I can't recall the exact number (and it varies depending on the board), but on another board, it was something like:
[(NumPosts / 1000) + (YourKarmaPoints / 100) + 1]
So the more posts and karma you have, the more karma you can give out.... or so I think.

You get more karma if people "exalt" you, and you get less karma if people "smite" you. So it's better to be a negative number? What is grounds for exalting and/or smiting? Can I smite Jeter just on general principle???

I heard Brent Morel on Laurence Holmes' show yesterday. Definitely both dopey and high.

There's some debate over which is more desirable, negative or positive karma points. As BlackSox was aware that I was looking to rack up negative points, he proceeded to hit me with some exaltation, thereby sending me the other direction. Such is how BlackSox rolls.

Also understand that it's gonna be really difficult for me to exalt you -- that goes against every fibre in my being -- but we'll see.

I called the final score, in my head, sitting in the doctor's office. Watching gameday on my phone, I see a couple guys on . . . they'll get three runs in, I thought: 10-7 Sox. Then the doctor came in, and I turned off the iphone. And I have high cholesterol! And I have high cholesterol! Join the crowd, although I am getting close to getting off my meds for it.

I'm actually right at the borderline, where if I just get more exercise, eat less pizza, more flax seed, and less red meat will keep me from going high.
I'll probably be on meds in 2 years.

Yep, not so bad. I stopped drinking for the most part (not totally). Eating better. Now for the hard part, exercise. That will start when I retire at end of July. LOL

I have high cholesterol, took Simvastatin for a while. Been off for some time. I was supposed to take at night, shit was keeping me up like caffeine. I finally said hell no, I need sleep.

I'm gradually reducing my dependency on thorazine. It's rough.

Juan Pierre drops it.
Quentin gets that ball 99 times out of 100.

Matt Thornton has given up 7 runs so far this year.
Of those, one has been an earned run.

What a grueling game that was yesterday. Edwin Jackson's pitch count is still going up.
